Here are my notes from yesterday's meeting. The meeting lasted one hour and a half. Thanks to Bjoern for sending me his log for the last half hour, which I could not attend because of some issues with my internet connection. Discussed items: * Schedule: checking everyone's schedule and potential progress. At least until March, it seems we will be taking turns being partly unavailable. We will manage, as usual. * markup validator 0.7.0: Terje hopes to have some time to get up to date with current code and fix some issues around the upcoming holidays. Olivier will work on cleaning up the templates, and the feedback form. * Modularization etc.: Bjoern has started a page on the markup Validator's modularization[1] feedback welcome. The discussion on templates also digressed to a discussion on how to get rid of OpenSP's messages completely, only relying on our messages and some form of ID for the errors. [1] http://esw.w3.org/topic/MarkupValidator/M12N * Feedback form: Lachlan on the w-v list and others (Nick, Bjoern, too) are hoping that we could either improve the way the mailto: links on the validation results page lead to feedback, or be replaced entirely by a form system. Olivier has started work on such a feedback script, details ideas. There are issues remaining, but the result is still a progress from what we have today. * CSS validator - port restriction policy: Terje thinks the restrictions should be lifted entirely, Bjoern no clear opinion one way or another. This discussion should be followed up in the email thread [2] [2] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-qa-dev/2004Dec/thread.html#0 (trimmed) log attached, as usual. -- olivier
