On behalf of W3C, I would like to express my gratitude to: * Tzviya Siegman (Editor and Chair) * An Qi Li (Editor and Chair) * Ada Rose Cannon (Editor) * and the entire Positive Work Environment Team for helping W3C reach the milestone of adopting an updated Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. This updated code has W3C taking a leadership position in demanding proper behaviors. It speaks to our values as individuals and as a consortium. It is far more descriptive than the previous code. And it enables an environment which should help us address issues that we have in inclusion and diversity. Thank you. The goals of this code are to define acceptable and expected standards of behavior, provide a benchmark, ensure transparency in community and group management, ensure an environment where people can participate without fear of harassment, and contribute to the identity of the organization. All Members who responded to the Call for Review [1] supported adoption of this updated CEPC. One Member proposed two editorial changes and these have been accepted and incorporated. An explanation of these changes can be found in the Disposition of Comments [2]. Please join us in thanking the Positive Work Environment Community Group [3] for producing this new Code.
