2015 edition of W3C Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct

Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,

With TPAC 2015 [0] upon us in a few weeks, the Positive Work Environment
Task Force [1] is pleased to announce the 2015 edition of the W3C Code of
Ethics and Professional Conduct:
    http://www.w3.org/Consortium/cepc/

Changes [2] since the 2014 version are non-substantive and serve to
clarify our documentation:
* Added to introduction: "Note that this code complements rather than
replaces legal rights and obligations pertaining to any particular
situation."
* Edited Code element number 8 to link to glossary definition for
"unwelcome".
* Licensed this document under CC0.

W3C is a growing and global community where participants choose to work
together, and in that process experience differences in language,
location, nationality, and experience.

Our Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct defines principles for
respectful treatment within the W3C community, and promotes high standards
of professional practice.

This code, complemented by a set of Procedures, applies to any member of
the W3C community – staff, members, invited experts, participants in W3C
meetings, W3C teleconferences, W3C mailing lists, W3C functions, etc.

Procedures to assist all parties in case of issues:

Comments should be sent to <public-pwe@w3.org> which is publicly archived
[3]. The Member task force [1] remains chartered to handle future
revisions of the documents.

The task force welcomes new participants; if you are interested in
joining, please contact Daniel Dardailler <danield@w3.or>, Chair of the
task force.

Thank you,

Coralie Mercier, Acting Head of W3C Marketing & Communications
