Apologies for cross posting
The *W3C Workshop on Smart Voice Agents* takes place *25–27 February 2026*
as a fully virtual event. It brings together service providers, government
representatives, developers, standards organizations, and researchers to
review the current state of voice-enabled smart platforms, discuss
integration of LLMs for enhanced natural language understanding, and
identify technological gaps with potential impacts on Web standards. Topics
span interoperability across multi-vendor voice agents, accessibility and
internationalization challenges, trust/privacy/security considerations, and
known LLM limitations such as hallucinations and accountability gaps in
automated workflows.
This is highly relevant to the AI KR CG's work — the workshop explicitly
addresses how voice agents coordinate across devices and platforms, manage
multi-modal input/output, and handle discovery and trust, all areas where
robust knowledge representation and interoperability standards are
essential. Registration is free and the deadline to register is *19
February 2026*. Proposals for talks have closed but participation is open.
