Hello All, My name is George Kerscher, and I am one of the many people from the Digital Accessible Information Systems (DAISY) Consortium working in this space. I also work for Benetech/Bookshare. I am blind and have been working in the digital publishing space for three decades+. It is wonderful to find so many people here committed to accessibility in publishing! We have come a long, long way over the past ten years since EPUB 3 was approved as a recommendation. There is still a long way to go and having mainstream publishing people standing side-by-side with the disability community is a harbinger of more great things to come. I am looking forward to the collaborations on all digital formats that deliver information to everybody, including persons with disabilities. Best George George Kerscher Ph.D. -In our Information Age, access to information is a fundamental human right.
