Re: Webinar, it was meeting record: 2020-06-12 PubSC

"I'm not sure that the minutes captured that we are planning to have one
representative from each group."

It is not in minutes, in IRC I supported representative from Japan.
Atleast one member or chair from each group was my additional suggestion on
email.

Thank you, Avneesh.

Thank you. You are correct. I'm not sure that the minutes captured that we
are planning to have one representative from each group. Wendy, Karen, and I
met today to discuss many of the details. I will reach out to individuals
privately before announcing who the speakers are. Thank you for highlighting
your concerns.

⛔ This is an external email.

It is great to see many volunteers for speaking in publishing webinar. I
have some suggestions regarding it:
1. It would be good to have at least one representative from each publishing
group.
2. Better to have a worldwide spread. i.e. it should not happen that most of
speakers are from North America. I already mentioned in the call that having
representation of Japan is important, and so is Europe and may be other
countries outside North America.
3. This is specific to EU accessibility act. It is good to mention it in the
webinar, but we should not emphasize it too much. We should not give a
perception that EPUB 3.x and EPUB accessibility revision is mainly for EU
accessibility act. Our work in WG is driven by worldwide needs, EU is a part
of it.
