TPI Program Summary, 25 January 2019 [Pub SC Confidential]

Dear Publishing Steering Committee:

As requested during the Publishing Steering Committee call on Friday, 25 January, please find attached the interim TPI program summary that I presented. A final report will be provided for the next call. (One positive update is that HarperCollins confirmed they will continue as Publishing Business Group participants.) Please keep this report confidential to Pub SC members. Thank you.

Ralph and I continue to work on the operational aspects of the TPI program’s completion this week. A number of folks will be terminated and dropped from groups and lists. We have drafted messages to go out to the following public mailing lists today:

1. Publishing Working Group Chairs list: group-publ-wg-chairs@w3.org <mailto:group-publ-wg-chairs@w3.org>

"Note to Chairs: After the close of business on 31 January, a number of Transitional Publishing Industry (TPI) members will be dropped from the Publishing Working Group as a result of the termination of their member benefits. You will receive an email notification of each instance of this action.”

2. Public Publishing Working Group mailing list: public-publ-wg@w3.org <mailto:public-publ-wg@w3.org>

"Please take note: On 31 January 2019, the Transitional Publishing Industry (TPI) membership program comes to an end. For organizations that have chosen to continue as W3C members, benefits and participation in the Publishing Working Group will continue seamlessly. For organizations that have chosen not to continue, Working Group membership will end at the close of business on 31 January 2019. We thank everyone for their past support, and look forward to the progress of the Publishing Working Group in 2019."

3. To Public Publishing Business Group mailing list: public-publishingbg@w3.org <mailto:public-publishingbg@w3.org>

"Please take note: On 31 January 2019, the Transitional Publishing Industry (TPI) membership program comes to an end.
