TDPF is creating a "Taiwan EPUB 3 Authoring Guide" (which is extended from the "EBPAJ EPUB 3 File Creation Guide", thanks to the EBPAJ) to provide some guidelines, best practices, and tips to the publishers and ebook platforms vendors in Taiwan. I'll briefly talk about this guide and Publishing@W3C activities in this event to encourage more people to participate.

Explainer for Conformance Classes:

Conformance Classes: Each of the requirements in the UCR have been assigned to one of four conformance classes:

  *   Minimal - These are the must-have, MVP requirements (including a new requirement for TOC).
  *   Extended - These are optional, general requirements beyond the minimal.
  *   Packaging - These are all the optional requirements that support packaging (PWPs)
  *   Customization - These are the optional requirements that support user customization (akin to those usually offered by an EPUB reader)

For the call, we should discuss:

  *   If the minimal requirements actually represent the MVP
  *   If the MVP as defined actually offers any "V"
  *   If the current conformance classes should be amended (e.g. should there be an "Offlining" class?)
