Dear Accessibility Task Force, The next call of the task force is scheduled on August 9 (Wednesday). Time: 14:00 UTC / 4 PM Paris / 10 AM Boston. Duration is 50 minutes. The proposed agenda is as follows. And the IRC and dial-in details are provided below. 1. Proposal for accessibility metadata is now in WCAG 2.1 survey. https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35422/Final_prelockdown_set/ 2. Navigation Navigation is essential for accessibility. There is a lot of discussion on Github. It would be good to go through it and decide the path ahead. Minimum viable manifest: https://github.com/w3c/wpub/issues/15 Machine-readable navigation https://github.com/w3c/wpub/issues/9 Navigating a web publication https://github.com/w3c/wpub/issues/2 Further to it, there is discussion in WICG about <nav> type. It looks that they are doing something similar to EPUB Navigation Document. This looks good but it may take years to see it in HTML specifications. https://discourse.wicg.io/t/nav-type-attribute-proposal/2241 3. Title in manifest: It looks that there is a kind of consensus on this on issue tracker. Is the accessibility task force fine with this approach? https://github.com/w3c/wpub/issues/20 4. "Default reading order" from accessibility perspective: There is a proposal to have just first primary resource in default reading order, and this resource provides access to other resources in WP. It may look too early to discuss it before navigation is settled. But it would be good to have views if time permits. 5. Day of the next call. 6. Any other business.
