Dear All,
Following the discussion yesterday, I'd like to repeat that in our view
Digital Provenance data form a Directed Graph. In empirical 3D Model generation
we have processes, in which a multitude of partially heterogeneous input data,
such as scans and images, are combined, corrected, redone, and recombined to produce
multiple results - views, resolutions, from that input. Data may reprocessed at a
later stage with better S/W etc. The respective mesh may contain thousands of files.
Nevertheless, I believe a first example can quite well be linear, since the cardinality
of the linking affects the query semantics, rather than the nature of the involved entities.
Best,
Martin
