FYI: Use of PROV in the Linked Map project

Dear all,

Recently the Linked Map project published reports that describe the use of the PROV ontology in the project. The Linked Map (http://linkedmap.unizar.es/) is a short term project (less than 1 year) and it is part of the larger FP7 project PlanetData. Linked Map address the development of a standard WMS that, at the same time, is a LD node offering read/write access to geographic knowledge. This vision is applied in a challenging scenario: the use of crowdsourcing techniques to improve the quality of the automatic integration of a National Map with existing VGI data. This integration and the provenance of data has been documented with PROV.

Relevant documents are:
- D16.1 Call 2: Linked Map VGI Provenance Schema, that maps ISO 19115 to PROV and identifies extension requirements - http://planet-data-wiki.sti2.at/uploads/c/ce/D16.1.pdf
- D16.2 Call 2: Linked Map provisioning service, that describes the architecture of the transformation/integration workflow and how provenance is added - http://planet-data-wiki.sti2.at/uploads/d/d2/D16.2.pdf
- D16.3 Call 2: Linked Map Authoritative dataset, that describes the implementation of the transformation/integration workflow and how the support of PROV is implemented - http://planet-data-wiki.sti2.at/uploads/0/0d/D16.3.pdf

All comments and suggestions are welcome!

Best regards,

Francisco J.
