Colleagues: I have created yet another branch for reasons I will explain during our teleconference. Suffice it to say that I believe the document as it existed before I took my virtual blue pencil to it was trying too hard. I know we need an Abstract. I provide a shortened one that I believe does the job. I have, of course, kept the Introduction, but I have reworked it greatly. I have dropped everything below the Introduction, namely Background, User Scenarios, and Gap Analysis. in my edited version, the actual specification follows the Introduction. I believe this is appropriate because our existing supplamentary documents already cover User Scenarios and Gap Analysis very well, often better than the version previously in Technical Approach. My recommended edits are visible at the following link: https://raw.githack.com/w3c/pronunciation/main-js2/technical-approach/index.html If they're acceptable, they can simply be merged into main--or I can provide a PR.
