Dear PING, Today we issued a Call for Consensus within the Web Payments Working Group [1]: Call for Consensus to publish Payment Request API as a Candidate Recommendation, and a new Note https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-payments-wg/2020Oct/0006.html We are returning to CR because we removed a small number of features for which there is not yet interoperability. My expectation is that if there is consensus, the group will seek to advance this version of the specification to Recommendation. The Call for Consensus lists information about the changes since the previous CR (December 2019). The Call for Consensus also includes some information about issue 842 [2] regarding shipping addresses and privacy. There are no implementer plans in the near term to address this issue. Let me know if you have any questions.
