It summarizes somewhat the recent history of some cases with high media
attention. 

In the meantime the discussion about mandatory data retention is raging
in Germany. They now have an EU Directive that is incompatible with a
decision of the federal constitutional court. So I wonder how this
conflict will be dissolved. The court claimed that there is a
constitutional solution that is in line with the Directive. We'll see.
