Hi, Once we use some real world categorization schema as defined in say Wikipedia, it lets us define categories for almost all the 'entities' we know. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_of_Computer_Programming Categories it belongs to : 1968 books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:1968_books> | 1969 books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:1969_books> | 1973 books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:1973_books> | 1981 books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:1981_books> | Computer books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Computer_books> | Computer programming <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Computer_programming> | Computer science books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Computer_science_books> | Algorithms <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Algorithms> | Analysis of algorithms <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Analysis_of_algorithms> | Monographs <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Monographs> | Books by Donald Knuth <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Books_by_Donald_Knuth> | Addison-Wesley books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Addison-Wesley_books> It HAS NO LOCATION http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter Categories it belongs to : Easter <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Easter> | Christian holidays <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Christian_holidays> | Holy Week <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Holy_Week> It HAS NO LOCATION http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Social_Network Categories it belongs to: 2010 films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2010_films> | American films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_films> | English-language films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:English-language_films> | Facebook <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Facebook> | 2010s drama films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2010s_drama_films> | American biographical films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_biographical_films> | American business films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_business_films> |American legal drama films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_legal_drama_films> | Courtroom dramas <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Courtroom_dramas> | Films whose writer won the Best Adapted Screenplay Academy Award <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_whose_writer_won_the_Best_A dapted_Screenplay_Academy_Award> | Best Original Music Score Academy Award winners <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Best_Original_Music_Score_Academy _Award_winners> | Films whose editor won the Best Film Editing Academy Award <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_whose_editor_won_the_Best_F ilm_Editing_Academy_Award> | Films directed by David Fincher <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_directed_by_David_Fincher> | Films about technology <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_about_technology> | Films about the media <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_about_the_media> | Films about fraternities and sororities <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_about_fraternities_and_soro rities> | Films based on non-fiction books <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_based_on_non-fiction_books> | Films set in California <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_set_in_California> | Films set in Massachusetts <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_set_in_Massachusetts> | Films set in 2003 <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_set_in_2003> | Films set in 2004 <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_set_in_2004> | Films set in 2005 <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_set_in_2005> | Films shot digitally <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_shot_digitally> | Films shot in California <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_shot_in_California> | Films shot in Massachusetts <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Films_shot_in_Massachusetts> | Nonlinear narrative films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Nonlinear_narrative_films> | Relativity Media films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Relativity_Media_films> | Columbia Pictures films <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Columbia_Pictures_films> It HAS NO LOCATION My concern was whether we are going to let users create POIs for Art of Computer Programming, Easter ,The Social Network and millions of such 'real world' entities( for which we can identify some category in Wikipedia but the entity itself has no location). That is are we going to let users create POIs belonging to categories which do not support location in their semantics.? Can users create these POI's with location as unknown.? Vinod
