Hi Henning, I think that, given the fact there are people like Damon Hernandez and Mike Liebhold who have a foot in the OGC, W3D Consortium and a significant interest in the AR community (I hope that they are both lurking on this list), we (an emerging AR WG) will work closely with appropriate groups in these organizations. With respect to your last statement (re: W3C process), my experience is that if there is a nucleus of interest among members about a new topic, you can suggest to the management that a W3C workshop be held. A workshop is the first step in gauging interest. During the workshop, which anyone can attend and contribute, the participants can assess the possible W3C roles.
