Hello, It's been a pilot project for several months but, in case you have not yet heard about or taken a careful look, I encourage people interested in Content Management Systems for AR (especially mobile devices) to create an account (you must first have a Layar developer ID) on and explore Hoppala's Augmentation.[1] If you don't want to create an account, view the video tutorial [2] An interview with the architect was posted on the Layar blog [3] Here's a quick analysis on ReadWriteWeb about the announcement's potential impact [4]. As this analysis points out, the optimal architecture will permit the user of any AR browser to view the same content. This is yet another sign that the time for standardization of data format for AR is approaching quickly. Would be excellent to have Hoppala participating in a future activity which leads to standardization of AR publishing formats.
