annevk has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/pointerevents: == mousemove and preventDefault() == Per https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1674658 and https://jsfiddle.net/zu0jpar2/ in particular this seems like some hacky way to prevent text selection in Chrome/Safari that does not work in Firefox. The specification just says that `mousemove` is cancelable, but doesn't describe what that means.
