Topic: Pointer Events Time: 11:00 am, Eastern Daylight Time (New York, GMT-04:00) For call details (webex address, meeting number, password), see https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/member-pointer-events/2019Apr/0000.html IRC: #pointerevents http://irc.w3.org/ Minutes from last meeting 4 Sept https://www.w3.org/2019/09/04-pointerevents-minutes.html and the one before then back in August https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-pointer-events/2019JulSep/0034.html Topics to discuss / status (picking up some loose strands from August as well): * any relevant corridor/side discussions at TPAC (since we didn't have an official meeting there this time) * merging extension into main spec https://w3c.github.io/pointerevents/extension.html Would like to get an in-principle ok that we're happy to merge these into the core spec: extension to the PE types (pointermove and pointerraw event), extensions to the PE interface, timing of coalesced event firing - the touch-action values have extension has already been merged. * tiltX and tiltY aren't as helpful as just having altitude angle https://github.com/w3c/pointerevents/issues/274 Discussed in August - I was going to do an initial PR, but unfortunately time has not been on my side. Hoping to draft something up for next meeting. * Setting pointer capture on an element in a parent frame when the pointer was made active in a child frame https://github.com/w3c/pointerevents/issues/291 * Changing the DOM hierarchy while handling a "pointerenter" event produces significantly different results across browsers https://github.com/w3c/pointerevents/issues/285 Discussion last time that this seemed more appropriate for UI spec. I think Navid wanted to discuss this at TPAC. * AOB Thanks, Patrick -- Patrick H.
