Hi All,
Here is a list of open bugs and my take on the status. For the most
part, we have reached agreement on how to address the bug and are
awaiting changesets from the Editors.
* Bug 21749 - Setting a capture on an offshore element
<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=21749>. During our April
15 call we agreed that if Francois did not reply to Jacob's proposal he
should add it to the spec
<http://www.w3.org/2014/04/15-pointerevents-minutes.html#item04>.
Action: Jacob to apply his proposal.
* Bug 24923 - What should happen to the mouse events if pointer event
listener removes the target from document or hides it?
<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24923>. Jacob has
Action-98 to propose text
<https://www.w3.org/2012/pointerevents/track/actions/98>. Discussion on
March 25 <http://www.w3.org/2014/03/25-pointerevents-minutes.html#item02>.
* Bug 24971 - Should got/lostpointercapture be dispatched asynchronously
or synchronously <https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24971>.
On April 15, Jacob agreed
<http://www.w3.org/2014/04/15-pointerevents-minutes.html#item02> to
Action-102 to address this
<https://www.w3.org/2012/pointerevents/track/actions/102>.
* Bug 25147 - What should happen when element.setPointerCapture is
called while the pointer is already being captured?; by Olli on March
25. On April 15 we agreed
(<http://www.w3.org/2014/04/15-pointerevents-minutes.html#item03>) this
bug will be closed via the proposal to address Bug 24971
<http://www.w3.org/2014/04/15-pointerevents-minutes.html#item03>. After
Jacob closes 24971, he will close this bug and include a link to the
relevant changeset.
* Bug 25214 - Note for pointerType mentions non-existent "appendix" +
reinforce best practice of accepting unknown pointer types;
<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=25214>. Editorial bug by
Patrick on March 31.
* Bug 25215 - Tweak to example 1 and what element touch-action is
applied to; <https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=25215>.
Editorial bug by Patrick on March 31.
* Bug 25216 - Tiny editorial tweak: adding <code> tags to note in
PointerEvent interface > pointerId;
<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=25216>. Editorial bug by
Patrick on March 31.
* Bug 25758 - Change PointerEvent width and height to double (Was:
Sub-pixel coordinate granularity);
<https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=25758>. There appears to
be agreement on the list to change the spec as proposed by Rick in
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-pointer-events/2014AprJun/0051.html>
but Jacob asked about tilt{X,Y}.
