https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24784 --- Comment #1 from Jacob Rossi [MSFT] <jrossi@microsoft.com> --- This is a lot more specific and verbose than what I think we discussed last week on the 2/25 call. The topic of the relationship between Touch Events and Pointer Events is the explicit scope of the Touch Events Community Group and the specifics of which have yet to really have been sorted out by that group. Therefore, the best approach I believe is to just add a non-normative reference to the work of that group (directly prior to the sentence that begins "For compatibility with content written to mouse-specific events"): "For information on the relationship between Pointer Events and Touch Events, see the Touch Events Community Group." and link "Touch Events Community Group" to the TECG wiki for more detailed information. Doing this avoids baking in any premature descriptions of the relationship and makes the TECG wiki an extensibility point for nailing down a crisp description of that relationship. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
