Re: [EXTERNAL] Re: Avid Media Composer and PNG 3rd Edition

Unfortunately, very few have release notes indicating that it has been added. It’s also supported in Final Cut Pro since it uses the same MacOS routines.

I’ve asked Avid if they can add it to a public document.

Best,
Chris

That's great news.

Out of curiosity, do they have any sort of announcement for this?
We can add it to the Implementation Report<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/w3c.github.io/png/Implementation_Report_3e/index.html__;!!PIZeeW5wscynRQ!uJevhk40fRO7sP_cEq_wqf5hs3m9SbFTx3Kh7YTm5XcnA4XaGPnnthLsl9rHNokXyKUNIVfkdOp-Vp1VGCfH$>. But linking an announcement would be even better.

Hi All,

I have verified that Avid Media Composer supports PNG 3rd Edition CICP to populate common global values (to identify image color formats).

Avid Media Composer is used heavily in broadcast and cinema for video editing.
