Re: W3C Accessible Playlist Community Group in 2020?

Hello Mr. Thompson and the Accessible Playlist Community Group
My interest comes from the need to provide the community with modern usable process that make vital changes in how we use technology moving forward.
I would like to explore your collective views on the playlists, metadata and methods you may all feel are important to moving forward with great technology used by anyone.

My team and I are developing a new media streaming process that will ensure security and transparent reporting of the usage of the media.
Accessibility is at the core of anything moving forward with this technology. My team and I would like to explore how we can work together or to possibly merge the group efforts together and work towards a solid solution to the known and growing problems.
I am working with several large consumer facing media groups now, and can invite more talent to the group as needed.
I am from the infrastructure side of the internet. Building data centers and connectivity during the 90's onto today, my team and I develop solutions to common problems for just about any industry.
I would be happy to co-chair this effort.
I feel the bigger picture of the complete process of how we store, distribute and to correctly monetize media needs to change. I am ready to take on this challenge. I am building a team of contributors, that will help to ensure the success of our collaboration efforts.
The internet from the ground up is now infected with crime, greed and instability. A safe and secure network, is at the heart of any internet based project moving forward.
Our company already has in place a global data network spanning several countries and growing. We utilize dark fiber between public peering points, rental cages with dedicated servers, public and private non routable connectivity forming a global decentralized network.
We are building our infrastructure into the Oracle Cloud this month. One of my other companies, has a strong relationship with oracle for its blockchain cloud solution.
Media has to become intelligent and available to everyone at anytime.
Thank you for your time, and please engage in conversation.

 Hi All,

Two new people have recently joined the W3C Accessible Playlist Community Group. Welcome Frank Corsi and Christoph Päper!

Many moons ago, I proposed this community group. Eight of you joined early, and the two new members brings the total to ten. Unfortunately, soon after proposing the group I found myself massively over-committed, and haven't found any time to commit to getting the group off the ground.

To refresh your memory, here is the group's website, which includes a description of the group's mission:
https://www.w3.org/community/playlist-a11y/

Given the new interest, I'm curious what others feel about this group, and whether we should attempt to revive it from its dormancy.

It would be great if all ten of you could respond to this message with answers to the following questions:

1. Are you still interested in this topic / community group?
2. What is the nature of your interest?
3. Do you know of others who might be interested?
4. If enough others are still interested in the group, would you willing to lead or co-lead it?

Regards,
Terrill
