Reviving the W3C Accessible Playlist Community Group

Hi All,

Many moons ago, I proposed a W3C Accessible Playlist Community Group, which
you and 8 other people joined. Thank you! I appreciate your interest. To
refresh your memory, here again is the group's website, which include a
description of the group's mission:
https://www.w3.org/community/playlist-a11y/

Unfortunately, soon after proposing the group I found myself massively
over-committed, and haven't found any time to commit to getting the group
off the ground. I'm hoping now to revive the group from its dormancy.

Given the time that's passed since you signed on to the group, I'm
wondering:

1. Are you still interested?
2. What is the nature of your interest?
3. Do you know of others who might be interested?
4. Will you be attending the CSUN 2018 conference?
5. If so, would you be interested in meeting up to do some brainstorming
regarding this topic and community group?

And here are my answers to each of these questions:

1. Yes! I'm still interested.

2. I'm the primary developer of Able Player, an open source HTML5 media
player that's designed to support accessibility:
https://github.com/ableplayer/ableplayer

Able Player has limited support for playlists, and I'd like to build upon
that with more robust support. Toward that end, I'm interested in
identifying or developing a standard media playlist format that includes
all the data necessary for full media accessibility as defined by HTML 5.x.

3. I'm inviting a few others who I think might be interested, and will
reach out to various online communities.

4. Yes, I'll be at CSUN, Tuesday through Friday.

5. Sure, I'd love to meetup if others are interested!

Regards,
Terrill
