FYI, for folks that just want to read the thesis, its online in HTML, 
however, the book combines more practical work (2 new technical 
chapters), fixes lots of little errors, and has a new ending with a 
better theoretical framework. However, the thesis is online for free:

Others who find relevant books or are producing relevant blog 
posts/papers (or drafts) should definitely feel free to forward them to
