OK. I misunderstood. Thank you for the clarification. Then I don't think
there is a reason for a formal vote unless it is not unanimous at the next
meeting it is discussed.

+1 to deprecate the two attrs, leave them in the spec, and add relevant
notes about why they were deprecated and perhaps why the future of
accessible drag&drop will rely on the host language specs like HTML.

      I agree based on what I have seen in the email traffic.

      I have this cued up for formal vote in the ARIA task force meetings
      but I will put this out for straw poll vote.

      The issue here is we don't have an alternative. Until we do we should
      leave what we have deprecated vs. removing it.
      So far as I am aware, several participants in this discussion have
      supported deprecating these properties; no one, to my knowledge, has
      proposed removing them from the ARIA 1.1 spec.
