Colleagues, Herewith a draft for announcements as requested. The following based on our previous announcement available at: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wai-announce/2020JanMar/0002.html <begin draft> Dear WAI Interest Group Announce List Participants, The Personalization Semantics Task Force and the Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group announce publication of a Candidate Recommendation (CR) draft of: * Personalization Semantics Content Module 1.0 specification: https://www.w3.org/TR/personalization-semantics-content-1.0/ We are also announcing an updated working draft publication of: * Personalization Semantics Explainer https://www.w3.org/TR/personalization-semantics-1.0/ What is Personalization: Personalization enables users to customize the way information is presented. It is especially useful for people with cognitive and learning disabilities. For a short introduction to personalization and the different documents, see the Personalization Overview https://www.w3.org/WAI/personalization/ Status and wide review: APA believes the Personalization Semantics Content Module 1.0 specification is ready to advance to the next step toward becoming a W3C recommendation. This means that implementations of this specification are welcome, as our comments on the CR draft. Please note that this specification currently relies on the "data-" attribute as provided for in HTML 5, Sec. 3.2.6.6: https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/dom.html#embedding-custom-non-visible-data-with-the-data-*-attributes However, this specification cannot advance beyond this stage using that attribute. APA has initiated the process for a permanent resolution that would allow this specification to advance to recommendation status. Once that resolution has been agreed an updated Candidate Recommendation draft will be published containing the newly agreed syntactic approach. Implementors are cautioned to expect this one time change in the coming months. Comments: To comment, file an issue in the personalization semantics GitHub repository: https://github.com/w3c/personalization-semantics/issues/new If this is not feasible, send email to public-personalization-tf@w3.org. Please send comments by [date] 2020.
