APA Personalization Task Force Teleconference - Monday October 08 2018

Hello everyone,

Based on the decision from last weeks call we are moving forward with releasing an update to the Explainer document, and Module 1 on Semantic Content, as well as a first public working draft for modules 2 and 3 on Help & Support and Tools. As discussed we will not make a final decision on implementation since we now have 6 different approaches to consider and there may be more and we would like to get feedback from a wider audience. So that all being said here is the plan.

1. Everyone needs to review the explainer and the 3 modules and look to see if we are happy with releasing these as public working drafts. If you notice anything that you can fix yourself please do so and submit a pull request. If you don’t know how to address the issue submit an issue in GitHub<https://github.com/w3c/personalization-semantics/issues> This review/edits needs to be done BEFORE Monday’s call on October 8th.

2. Thaddeus is working on updating the introductions for all modules and linking to the explainer.

3. I will be creating an editor’s Note Disclaimer that we have not yet chosen an implementation and are asking for their input on helping us decide what way we should choose to implement personalization.

4. Michael will be completing his work and helping Thaddeus with the introductions or questions he has

5. On Mondays call we will go over all 3 modules and explainer to make sure we are ready for our public release.

6. Wednesday October 10th we will start the 48 hour APA CFC for modules 2 and 3 for a First Public Working Draft.

7. Friday October 12th if all goes well with the CFC, Roy can then begin the process of publishing our First working draft of Modules 2 and 3 and updating our Explainer and Module 1 which have already been published as a working draft.

8. Wednesday October 17th is the final day to have things submitted to the W3C in order to be published before TPAC.
