Request to join the consortium of maintainers

Dear W3ID community,

SURROUND Australia Pty Ltd (SURROUND) wishes to join the group of
organizations pledging responsibility to ensure the operation of the W3ID
system.

As per the website, the current organisations listed as pledging support
are:

   - Digital Bazaar <http://digitalbazaar.com/>
   - 3 Round Stones <http://3roundstones.com/>
   - OpenLink Software <http://www.openlinksw.com/>
   - Applied Testing and Technology <http://www.aptest.com/>
   - Openspring <http://openspring.net/>
   - Bosatsu Consulting <http://bosatsu.net/>

SURROUND has a long-standing and continuing interest in this PID domain and
has actively contributed to its use and maintenance. SURROUND is also a W3C
and OGC member and is aware of W3C and OGC use of the domain. SURROUND
staff also maintain several other PID systems:

1. The Australian Government Linked Data Working groups' linked.data.gov.au
domain
2. The Open Geospatial Consortium's Naming Authority

SURROUND guesses that there are not formal governance or joining procedures
in place for w3id.org and we do not wish to impose such or to request
changes to the system: we simple wish to join the organisations involved to
support them and to be seen to be joining the group to indicate current and
active interest in the PID system.

Please could the group outline how we may join, if joining is considered
sensible?
