DECISION: Regarding Call for Consensus to Request Revision to Web Payments Working Group Charter

Dear Web Payments Working Group,

In response to the 15 April Call for Consensus [1] to Request Revision to Web Payments Working Group Charter, 11 participants supported the proposal. There were no objections.

The Chairs hereby record a decision that the proposal carries.

Here is a schedule for next steps:

* On 14 April we asked for horizontal groups to review the charter [2]. So far we have received positive responses from 3 of the 5 horizontal groups, with no change requests. I expect to allow another 2 weeks for the two other groups to respond.
* 19 May: Per our “charter howto” [3] we will then ask for review by the W3C Strategy Team.
* 2 June (approximately): Assuming Strategy Team approval, we will start W3C Advisory Committee review of the charter for 4 weeks.
* Between 1 July and the end of July: We will address any feedback or formal objections.
* 1 August approximately: We will relaunch the group under the new charter.

I anticipate that we will ask participants to rejoin the group because the revised charter allows for new Recommendation-track deliverables.

Let me know if you have any questions.

For the co-Chairs,
Ian Jacobs
