FYI: New Anti-Fraud Community Group looking at user recognition topics

Dear Web Payments Working Group,

At last week’s meeting [1] we discussed two important user recognition use cases: returning user recognition and
risk assessment.

The latter (at least) relates to an Anti-Fraud breakout session that took place during TPAC; see the minutes:
 https://github.com/WICG/trust-token-api/blob/main/meetings/tpac2021-antifraud-breakout.md

Today the Anti-Fraud Community Group launched:
  https://www.w3.org/community/antifraud/

Their mission amounts to finding more privacy preserving ways to counter various types of fraud, including
payments.

Please consider joining that Community Group to participate in discussions.

I expect we will also continue discussions in the Web Payments Working Group, for example, by continuing
to discuss use cases and requirements and formulating them as input to the CG discussions. I expect that
with time we will gain a better idea of how the groups relate.

Thank you,

Ian
