As you probably know, digital receipts is currently only supported by highly proprietary solutions.  This is probably less of an issue for on-line purchases since email is usually sufficient.

However, for schemes targeting both on-line and PoS payments like Apple Pay, G-Pay, and hundreds of local/national  systems, a universal solution would be preferable.

Since I'm currently in planning phase for integrating such a thing in "Saturn", I wonder if there is anything out there to be "inspired" by.

Pointers would be very much appreciated.
