Dear Web Payments Working Group, We are nearly ready to request that the Director publish Payment Request API and Payment Method Identifiers at Candidate Recommendations. We want to signal one change to the Candidate Recommendation exit criteria. At the Chicago face-to-face meeting we reached a decision to explicitly call out interoperability testing on mobile. However, we have new information since then: 1) The implementers have informed us that the desktop and mobile code bases are the same and therefore testing on desktop should suffice (and should also be easier as far as user interactions). 2) At this time we do not have any volunteers to test on mobile explicitly and produce an implementation report. We welcome volunteers, so contact us if you are interested. As a result, we plan to replace a sentence in the current editors' drafts with text that more closely aligns with the usual W3C expectations about CR exit criteria: "The working group will demonstrate implementation experience by producing an implementation report. The report will show two or more independent implementations passing each mandatory test in the test suite (i.e., each test corresponds to a MUST requirement of the specification)."
