Hi Manu, At Monday's WPWG meeting you asked whether the Digital Bazaar polyfill could be considered an implementation for the purposes of exiting Candidate Recommendation. I answered “no” and that I did not think this had happened previously. I have since checked with W3C staff who manage document transitions and learned that the mere fact of being a polyfill was not a sufficient reason to exclude it as an implementation for the purpose of exiting CR. I am continuing my internal discussion to get a better understanding of what other considerations would be appropriate when considering a polyfill. For Payment Request API specifically, the group set a strong expectation at the March face-to-face meeting that CR exit would depend on native browser implementation on both native and mobile. The group can revisit that question if they wish. I apologize my error and have added a correction Note to the meeting record.
