@msporny I'd vote against the "hand drawn" mode.  It's a bit too informal.  The lines even change their wiggles every reload.  Also worth considering that it's very easy to hit the limits of simple sequence diagram tools resulting in jumping through hoops to try and describe a process.  For example loops, alt, self referencing calls, etc.  There are other js options, for example: http://jumly.tmtk.net/.  Though at some point it makes sense to look into more full UML tools.
