Re: ORE+OWLED (Re: Getting organized)

For info - this is the Vienna Summer of Logic "Olympic Games" site:
http://vsl2014.at/olympics/
The idea is that the different competitions hold a couple of joint events
with short presentations about their competition for a general audience,
and prize giving.

As Ernesto said, I think we're all in favour of running ORE in Vienna in
2014 since it's such a great opportunity, even if that's without OWLED. (On
a side note, we asked participants at ORE and Vienna was clearly the
preferred option).

Having an ORE session at OWLED (if they're not collocated) sounds like a
good compromise though. We could run a live competition on user-submitted
ontologies and discuss the results afterwards, for example. I'd like that a
lot.

Either way, I've been in touch with the DL 2014 organisers and Thomas who
organises the FLoC Olympic Games to find out what's required to run ORE in
Vienna. Since it's such a big event and there may be a few hoops to jump
through I would like to make a decision and fix a location as soon as
possible.

So, if there are any objections to running ORE during the Vienna Summer of
Logic events next year (and then moving on to joining it with OWLED in
subsequent years, or alternating between OWLED and DL), please let me know.
If you're happy with Vienna, let me know, too :)

Otherwise we'll go ahead with the hoop jumping.
