Hiya, The OWL WG decided at the first face to face (F2F) meeting that it was interested in exploring the "easy keys" proposal that the OWLED DatabasEsque Task Force had been working on. The old discussion and page: http://code.google.com/p/owl1-1/wiki/EasyKeyProposal The WG page (which has more details, reflecting some more thinking we did :)): http://www.w3.org/2007/OWL/wiki/Easy_Keys The semantics is given by a first order logic translation so extending the model theory directly will be easy peasy. We've not yet proposed an RDF syntax for it. Keys can be data *or* object properties, or arbitrary sets of them. The working group has not yet accepted this specific proposal, nor even that there shall be easy keys of some sort. It will be discussing it in the coming weeks. Feedback is welcome. Manchester should have an OWL API based implementation fairly soon. We're using this task to train one of our newish postdocs in OWL APIness :) Cheers, Bijan.
