NLP'ers I was hoping that someone on this list may be able to help me. I am looking for a vendor with software which allows the creation of knowledge and an engine for indexing and searching of documents. In the healthcare field for example, I am familiar with www.landc.be and www.apelon.com. These vendors (generally) have developed their own healthcare ontology or taxonomy targeting medical records. However, I am looking to target law enforcement incident reports; different ontology/taxonomy. I would also like to find a vendor targeting the semantic web/W3C Standards. Does anyone have a suggestion related to tools or vendors who have products available to develop non-healthcare applications? I would like to be able to accomplish the following: basic - taxonomy (match against a set of synonyms) - edit distance (these words within the same sentence or two) - sentiment of the article advanced - disambiguate (are we talking about ford the car or ford the person) Thanks in advance for any suggestions regards, Greg gfairnak@comcast.net
