Peter &al, At our April 15th F2F meeting, the RIF WG resolved to accept/support all the OWL datatypes except owl:rational. See: http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/wg/meeting/2009-04-15#resolution_4 This brings the set of datatypes between RIF and OWL extremely close. We agreed we could live with having this one difference, but would prefer if we didn't, and if owl:rational was removed (we note it continues to be at-risk). A possibility, for example, would be to make owl:rational a part of the optional extension you mentioned, and not part of OWL proper. Another possibility is to designate owl:rational itself as optional. I think this means we are only partially satisfied with the response. -Chris Peter F.
