Chair vs editor - title reassignment?

All,

I wanted to request a change of Chair to better reflect reality of the ORTC CG.

While I’ve carried the title of chair and editor, realistically I’ve effectively been only the editor on the specification and ensuring the publication is up to date and performing the role of discussing things on a technical level (including most recently at IIT RTC Conference in Chicago).

However, Erik Lagerway has been performing more of the chair duties in terms of organizing the meetings, finding dates, setting up the agenda, etc. We are a lightweight organizationally at this point despite having over 75 members but as the CG grows I think it’s important the orginization reflects the reality as it exists.

So at this point I would like to recommend I drop the title of chair and hand that over to Erik since he’s already performing those duties anyway. Effectively this would be a NOOP in terms of CG operational changes and merely a title assignment change to better reflect reality. I am certainly willing to continue my duties as editor.

Feedback / concerns / comments welcomed.
