TL;DR: if you are interested in some statistics about the current set of Working Groups, see <https://www.w3.org/wiki/WGStats>. Michael Champion created some data [Raw] on Working Groups at the W3C and that data was ported to the following wiki document to facilitate browsing and sorting to facilitate answering Qs such as: which WGs are still open yet have an expired charter; how much e-mail traffic does a WG have; when was a WG's last publication; how many Technical Reports has a WG published in the last two years; etc.: <https://www.w3.org/wiki/WGStats> What additional data would be useful? I think it would be helpful if all groups maintained some type of roadmap / specification status document. However, I acknowledge that maintaining such data can take a relatively significant amount of time (especially for groups with many specs in progress). Additionally, a `normalized/consistent` view of spec status for all WGs could be useful (provided each group has some flexibility to customize their data for their specific needs). -Thanks, AB [Raw] <https://raw.githubusercontent.com/michaelchampion/w3c-ab-projects/master/W3C%20WG%20stats.csv>
