Updates on the WA's competition results model

Hi,

I suppose you have received the calendar invite for the next Community Group meeting (Feb 8th at 09.00 UTC/10.00 CET).

Two main topics on the agenda:
1. Eddy will present the UCI's API.
2. Updates on the WA's competition results schema.

The first topic will let us know the UCI's approach to collect and serve competitions, riders, and other information.

In the second part I would like to discuss the next steps for the refinement of the current schema we have. I've been drafting a document based on what we have discussing. You can find the early version at https://w3c.github.io/opentrack-cg/incubation/wa-competition-model/ (it's the original model).
I have some proposals to keep the work refined. You are the experts on the field, I only see metadata :)

- 'Race' entity: a new optional attribute 'venue' to link with the concrete venue where a race or event field was held (e.g., two semi-finals in different places). In practical terms, this could just be the identifier to the venue already defined and linked from a 'Competition'.
- 'Competition Unit': a new optional attribute 'gender' (or similar) for classification purposes (men, women, universal/mixed). We already have max/minAge.
- 'Round': should we use other reserved terms [1] or codes to avoid typographical errors (e.g., removing space characters like 'Extra Race' -> 'ExtraRace')
- 'Race': should we rename the term? -> 'RaceFieldEvent' or similar to be more inclusive with field events.
- 'Race': is it important having an 'endDate'?
- 'Relay Team': should we change the names and referring to 'Team' in general. It could be a team competition, but not involving relays. If so, change to 'teamResult' as well.
- 'Individual Result': should we include a new attribute 'features' with an array of in-competition features such as 'Fn', 'RC', '~', '>', 'yRC'...?

Feel free to comment and propose new topics for discussion.

All the best,

Martin
