ABES (Agence bibliographique de l'enseignement supérieur) —the state agency for academic libraries in France— has published last month, a long document calling for “a ‘semantic web’ approach in the interoperability of the science & research data”. It describes their data model, then several case studies. In the introduction, ABES explains the need to have “an open database and an open search engine”. You can read it on ABES' blog (in french). ---------- This post sent on Open Linked Education Community Group 'French academic libraries: ready (soon) for Open data & interoperability.' https://www.w3.org/community/opened/2016/06/15/french-academic-libraries-ready-soon-for-open-data-interoperability/ Learn more about the Open Linked Education Community Group: https://www.w3.org/community/opened
