Open Annotation and the Wikifact Project Proposal

Open Annotation Community Group,

Hello. I am pleased to share with you a hyperlink to a Wikifact project proposal: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikifact . The proposal is new and dynamic and hopes to improve through discussion.

I would enjoy discussing any technical annotation-related topics with you on either the proposal’s discussion page (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikifact) or here in this mailing list.

Best regards,
Adam Sobieski

P.S.: On a related note, a new W3C community group is currently proposed: the Document Services Community Group. The new community group’s technical discussion topics will include uses of annotation technology. Document services are client-local, on-prem, and remote services upon documents, document elements, or ranges of content. Examples of document services include: spellchecking, grammar checking, proofreading, fact checking, mathematical proof checking, reasoning checking, argumentation checking, and narrative checking.

The proposed community group, as interesting to you, can be supported here: https://www.w3.org/community/groups/proposed/#services . Only one more vote is needed to launch the new group.
