Re: New Editors Draft of Modelling Opportunity Data Specification

Hi
Thanks for this Leigh, looks really good. A couple of things we've noticed if you could provide some further info?:

- we can see recurring events in there, that's good. Does this also support irregular re-occurrences, i.e. term times which are irregular and change annually, iCal format probably does already
- Event suitability appears to be fairly open ended, e.g. if you wanted to filter by age over 12s, in theory all of these would match: over 12, 12 and over, under 18s, 14-16.
- Is the weight in a specific unit, is there a standard here?

Cheers
Kim

Hi,

I've just published a new editors draft of the Modelling Opportunity Data specification.

https://www.openactive.io/modelling-opportunity-data/

There have been changes throughout the document but the key revisions have been to the data model section which now includes a more detailed breakdown of the types, properties and examples that illustrate all of the key features.

This is close to the version that I'm keen to mark as our first public draft ("Candidate Specification"), but I still have some work to do to get the machine-readable vocabulary in place and ensure the examples match. I'm working on that this afternoon.

Rather than delay sharing the updated document, I've pushed out this new draft for review. I'll do a further release once the supporting vocabulary is published and I've updated the examples.

Any comments, then please feedback here. In our call on Weds I'd like to review the content of this spec and also discuss how best to support the next steps.

Cheers,

L.
