Re: OntoLex-Morph: DeriNet

Dear Christian, dear all,

in the LiLa project (which builds a Linked Data Knowledge Base of Linguistic Resources for Latin), we did some work on modeling word formation.
We took the data from the WFL lexicon, which is included also in DeriNet.

This paper provides the details:

 * Litta Eleonora, Passarotti Marco, Mambrini Francesco. 2019. The Treatment of Word Formation in the LiLa Knowledge Base of Linguistic Resources for Latin. In Žabokrtský Zdeněk, Ševčíková Magda, Litta Eleonora, Passarotti Marco (eds.), Proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Resources and Tools for Derivational Morphology (DeriMo 2019), 19-20 September, Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics, Prague, Czech Republic, pp. 35-43. ISBN: 978-80-88132-08-0<tel:978-80-88132-08-0>. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.3403022<http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3403022>

Data can be queried/accessed/visualized from:
- https://lila-erc.eu/query (search for a lemma; if it is one linked to a Base node, you can see how word formation is modeled in LiLa)
- https://lila-erc.eu/sparql/ (select the lemmaBank dataset and then the “classis Base” example query to retrieve the members of the word formation family of the word “classis”)

I hope it helps.
All best,

Marco

Dear all,

I just realized that DeriNet ("universal derivations") v.1.0 is now available via https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flindat.mff.cuni.cz%2Frepository%2Fxmlui%2Fhandle%2F11234%2F1-3236&data=02%7C01%7Cmarco.passarotti%40unicatt.it%7Cd96c86b5eec94e31fb2308d8150492a1%7Cb94f7d7481ff44a9b5886682acc85779%7C0%7C0%7C637282456671466652&sdata=%2Bxdw2k2aH9Hq1Pec6fpAqj2e%2F3G2eS8bexabItaRnBU%3D&reserved=0. This would be an important test bed for the emerging OntoLex-Morph module. At least, we should double-check that such data can be modelled.

Best,
Christian
