17th International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AI*IA 2018) Trento, November 20-23, 2018 http://aixia2018.fbk.eu Third Call for Papers ----------------------------------------------------------------- Topics of Interest ----------------------------------------------------------------- The conference covers broadly the many aspects of theoretical and applied Artificial Intelligence. A series of workshops dedicated to specific topics will complement the main conference program. AI*IA 2018 welcomes submissions on original and unpublished research across all areas of AI, including (but not limited to) traditional topics such as machine learning, search, planning, knowledge representation, reasoning, constraint satisfaction, natural language processing, robotics and perception, and multiagent systems. We encourage all types of contributions including theoretical, engineering and applied. We also encourage papers on AI techniques in the context of novel application domains, such as security, sustainability, health care, transportation, and commerce. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Proceedings ----------------------------------------------------------------- The proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and attend the conference to present the work. Authors of selected papers accepted to the main track will be invited to submit an extended version for publication on "Intelligenza Artificiale", the International Journal of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence, edited by IOS Press and indexed by Thomson Reuters' "Emerging Sources Citation Index". ----------------------------------------------------------------- Best Papers ----------------------------------------------------------------- >From the accepted submissions, we will be selecting two award winners: the Best Student Paper Award and the Best Paper Award. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Submission Instructions ----------------------------------------------------------------- We welcome and encourage the submission of high-quality, original papers, which are not being submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Papers should be written in English, formatted according to the Springer LNCS style, and not exceed 12 pages plus bibliography.
