Dear members of the Nordic Accessibility Community Group, I hope this message finds you well. It's time for our next Nordic Accessibility Community Group meeting, and this time, we're diving into the important topics that we didn't get a chance to cover in our last roundtable session. Your active participation and insights will be valuable as we explore these topics together. If you didn't get a chance to join last time, here's a list of the topics raised that we will go over, along with the initials of who brought it up: * Prioritization of Accessibility: Let's discuss strategies for prioritizing accessibility initiatives and address common misconceptions about accessibility costs and responsibilities in organizations. [SN + SH + EGS] * Community Engagement: Explore the potential for an open calendar of accessibility events and ways to attract more participants to presentations and meetings. [ATN + SN + TCJ + EGS] * Certification Discussion: Delve into the discussion about certification, considering the pros and cons, and exploring possibilities for a middle ground or ways to overcome challenges related to certifications like IAAP's CPACC and WAS certifications. [EGS] * Target Audience: Define the target audience for our group. Should it be limited to experts, or is there a specific level of expertise required? [ATN] * Recruitment and Expertise: It's difficult to hire accessibility experts today. Share insights and strategies for recruiting, as well as handling specific customer cases focused on accessibility. [OPE] * Burnout and Well-being: Discuss the challenges of working with accessibility and how to prevent burnout within the field. [NT] * Meeting Format Evaluation: Reflect on our current meeting structure, identify its shortcomings, and brainstorm potential improvements. [TCJ] We will be working in this document, where you may also add your thoughts in advance, should you be unable to attend the session: 2024-01-23 - Discussions.docx<https://siteimprove323-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/personal/tcj_siteimprove_com/EUwny6wFujZLmR5ueDDuKq4BKnLr8nC7w3y0Ds94V1zDIg?e=UxdPju> Your input and insights are vital to the success of our community, and we look forward to seeing you at the meeting. Let's work together to make the future accessible! If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
