jyasskin has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/nfc: == Charter: Let the WG explore more permission models == The charter currently mentions exploring "permission models that recognize the special role of the frontmost, foreground tab when NFC devices are brought into close proximity by the user." Maybe we can generalize that into: > The Working Group will explore permission models that take advantage of the physical properties of the NFC connection to align user expectations with the permissions actually granted to script. Aspects of the environment that might go into the permission model include: > * Whether the script is running in a frontmost tab. > * Whether the script is running in an open tab at all. (vs a Service Worker) > * Whether the script has been vouched for by a trusted authority. (This covers apps installed from a store or shipped with a device.) > * The user's interactions with permission prompts and choosers. > * Preferences expressed by the tag or peer NFC device itself. See https://github.com/w3c/nfc/issues/81
