Right, that makes sense, as the ultimate consumer of JSON is javascript. However, if depends on what implementers and vendors want to use. Right now, right here in this CG, we have a bunch of folk that are more or less happy with config.xml. I guess we can put a call out to Google and Moz if they want us to bother trying to bridge the XML/JSON gap. They had no opinion at the Future of Native Web Apps workshop, and we pushed them pretty directly on that.
